Faith Dane: One Year Life Celebration

Friends and family got together to celebrate the one year departure of Faith Dane. The event was held at the Lamont Plaza park in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of Washington DC. Ms. Dane was honored with a Mayoral Proclamation and a DC City Council Resolution, which were both presented by US Senator Michael Brown. The event was organized by her husband Jude and many other community partners. This was a festive event, that included music, poetry and food. The community hopes that this will be an annual celebration of the life of Ms. Faith Dane, who made DC her home for over 40 years, until her departure on April 7th, 2020 at the age of 96.
